The stud farm offers a wide range of well-bred stallions for service. The customer can select from breeds such as Irish Sport Horse, Irish Draught, Connemara and Shetland.

Customers normally leave their mares on the premises where they are daily tested and covered until they are ready to return home. This ensures that a high strike rate of mares are successfully in foal. The mares are looked after with good care during this time.

The stud farm supports the scanning of mares. The management has good links with top quality and professional horse vets who scan mares on the premises, at a reasonable cost. This is a feasible aspect to ensure that a mare proves in foal. The terms offered - N.F.F.R. The vets are also available for any other services that are required.

We offer a transport service to and from stud, when required.

At Forest View Stud we recognise the concern which every breeder has in relation to their mare's welfare when they go away to stud and we understand the value of regular clear communication with a mare's owner.

An additional service the stud farm offers is the foaling of mares. The stud farm will closely monitor mares 24/7 during their foaling date to ensure the foal is successfully and safely born.
